The trailer also includes new footage of the evil Hela, Loki, Valkyrie and one of the most fearsome versions of Thor we’ve seen. “I have dire plans for destiny,” Thor responds, proving that the corny aspects of the Thor franchise we’ve come to love will still very much exist in Ragnarok. “Destiny has dire plans for you, my friend,” Doctor Strange warns.

In a new international trailer published on YouTube yesterday, most of the jokes have been replaced with a friendly Marvel Cinematic Universe face: Doctor Strange. That means major cameos have been stricken from the two-minute advertisements to make room for celestial locations and corny jokes. In the two trailers Marvel has released for Thor: Ragnarok, the goal each time has been to demonstrate how un-Thor-like director Taika Waititi’s movie will be.
